To pay your taxes in Nicaragua, you will need to go to the catastral office of the Mayor’s office.
There, they will look up your lot(s) and tell you what you owe. You then pay at the cashier’s cage
by check or cash. Taxes are due by 31 March of every year. If paid early (January), you will get
a 10% discount. If you pay late, late fees will be applied. The late fees accumulate daily, which means
your tax bill will go up very fast. Unfortunately, there is no way to pay the taxes except in person.
You or someone acting on your behalf will have to physically do this.
No power of attorney is required to pay the taxes.
